Project Overview
Home builder website design that puts inventory to work
A homebuilder’s inventory changes long after its website launches. Staff need a manageable way to keep listings current, and buyers need enough information to decide which homes and options are worth exploring.
We designed Sandhollow’s website to serve both, with editing tools its employees can manage and several useful starting points for buyers exploring its homes throughout the Tri-Cities area.

Introduction
Redesigning Sandhollow’s homebuilder website
Sandhollow Homes builds new homes throughout the Tri-Cities, Washington, area, with communities and floor plans across its Freedom and Express series.
After building Sandhollow’s previous website in 2018, we redesigned it in early 2025 to expand its functionality and simplify inventory management. The project called for more than updated page designs. Sandhollow needed a website its team could maintain as homes, availability, and product information changed.
Sandhollow needed a home builder website developer who could turn those day-to-day requirements into useful tools. We brought strategy, website design, and custom WordPress development together to do that.

The Challenge
A home builder website needs to support the work behind each listing
Managing a homebuilder website means keeping property details useful as inventory changes. A new listing needs specifications, photos, availability, and the right sales contact. When a home uses an existing floor plan, the team should be able to build on information it has already entered.
For Sandhollow, easier editing and inventory management were central reasons for the redesign. Buyers also needed a useful path through the website regardless of where they began their search.
We addressed both needs through custom WordPress development: simplify the work of maintaining listings and help prospective buyers find the homes and information relevant to them.

Custom WordPress Development
Custom WordPress development for home inventory management
Our strategy sessions focused on how Sandhollow’s team would actually use the website. We mapped what employees needed to enter, how a new home could use an existing floor plan, and where that information needed to appear for buyers. That planning shaped both the editing tools and the public website.
We then built an easy-to-use listing section in WordPress where Sandhollow’s employees can add communities, floor plans, and move-in-ready homes.
That is a substantial part of the value of custom website design and development: planning how a business will use the website, then developing the tools that support that work.
Inventory Management
A home search can start with a location or a layout
Buyers may start with a community, a floor plan, or a home that’s available sooner. We built one inventory system so each starting point leads to relevant homes, property details, and the right sales contact.

Build & Price functionality
Home options become easier to evaluate with a tailored estimate
A buyer considering an upgraded kitchen or a different community wants to understand what those choices mean for the cost of a home.
Sandhollow’s Build & Price tool lets visitors select a floor plan and community, then choose features and upgrades to see an estimate tailored to those specifications. Pricing updates for the selected combination, helping buyers explore options before speaking with the team.
We collaborated with another developer on this functionality and incorporated it into the broader website experience. The tool supports a more informed sales discussion, with estimates subject to the site’s published pricing qualifications.

Website Customization
Custom development shaped around Sandhollow’s sales process
We chose WordPress for the flexibility to develop around Sandhollow’s requirements. The planning addressed what employees needed to manage, what buyers needed to understand, and how the website could support the sales process.
That strategy guided the development work. For a builder commissioning a substantial website, this is part of the investment: a team that can translate business requirements into practical tools.
Other builders may need different workflows or functionality. Our approach to custom business tools starts with understanding those requirements and deciding what the website needs to do.
Supporting Services
Team photography and sales resources support the website
We also helped Sandhollow present its product selection guide through an online magazine experience and provided team photography for the website.
The partnership extended into home flyers as well, supporting individual property marketing alongside the online listings.

The Results
Sandhollow can manage listings while buyers explore their options
The redesigned website gives Sandhollow an easier way to maintain its own inventory. Its team can create homes from existing floor plans, add communities, and update listing details through a consistent editing process.
Buyers have several useful ways to explore that inventory, plus tools for investigating home features and estimated costs.
The project demonstrates what custom homebuilder website development can deliver: a website planned around the work of selling homes in the Tri-Cities, with the functionality to support both the builder and its prospective customers.
